I believe quilting is a form of art and my purpose is to partner with you to enhance creation of the beautiful artwork you have already begun and inspire you to do more.
Edge to edge quilting: The price varies from 1.65 cents to 2.5 cents per square inch. There is a large selection of pantograph designs.
Custom quilting: I no longer offer custom quilting due to time constraints.
Edge to Edge 1.65 cents per sq. inch for most patterns. Edge to Edge patterns cover the quilt top from edge to edge and are not stitched in relation to any visual shapes or patterns that were created in the piecing of the quilt top. Some edge to edge methods are: Meandering and stippling, swirls and loops. A pantograph is a pattern that goes from one edge of the quilt to the other without breaks. It is a design that is applied in separate or interlocking rows from left to right; top to bottom. It is a very nice alternative to simple meandering and adds interest to the quilt without detracting from your piecework. My Intelliquilter has an extensive library but if I don’t have what you are looking for I can download just the right design from the internet.
Turning Quilt for Border Quilting: $15.00
This fee refers to quilting a separate pattern around the borders of the quilt. Since borders are quilted from left to right - this would involve removing the quilt from the machine, rotating it 90 degrees and then re-installing it on the machine to quilt the remaining two borders.
Threads
I have a large variety of thread from which to choose including a growing number of varigated threads. The majority of my thread is So Fine 50wt, however I do use Omni and some other brands.
Binding Services
Binding is calculated in linear inches. To determine the cost of binding: Measure the length and width, add these two together and multiply by 2.50. This will give you your binding length in linear inches. Machine stitched to front, trimmed, and hand stitched to back with mitered corners to finish.
My friend Alma does the binding for me and charges is $2.50 per linear foot. If you have your binding ready to attach, strips cut and pieced and pressed down the center, the charge is $2.00/LF.
Florida Sales Tax: 6.5%
Batting: I do not carry batting because I don’t have room to store the inventory and there are a number of types and brands of batting on the market to meet any quilter’s needs. Just about any kind of batting will do fine however there are 2 kinds that I request you not bring to me: Warm and Natural that still have pieces of cotton shell within; the pieces of shell are hard and dulls the sewing needle. Another batting is Mountain Mist, this is great for stuffing pillows and stuffing animals but has different consistencies throughout and it easily pulls apart when being adjusted while quilting.
